Questions about taking Openmind™ Psychometric Assessments
-
Openmind™ is a personality and self-awareness assessment that goes beyond traditional questionnaires. It measures both what you consciously think about yourself (the 5%) and how you subconsciously feel (the other 95%), giving you a full picture of your personality, emotions, and drivers.
-
Most personality tools ask you to describe yourself consciously, what you believe or choose to say. Openmind™ also uses advanced neurotechnology to measure your automatic subconscious responses, which reveals how you really feel beneath the surface. This creates insights that traditional assessments simply can’t reach.
-
You’ll see both your ‘outer’ self (what you think about yourself) and your ‘inner’ self (what you feel deep down). This helps you spot hidden strengths, blind spots, and beliefs that may be holding you back. It’s often the missing piece of the puzzle when you feel stuck, unclear, or frustrated.
-
It’s natural to worry about that, but so far, all participants have found the insights freeing rather than confronting. Take a look at our testimonials and privacy policy. You’re not being judged. The results simply reflect how you respond, giving you information to help you grow. With your coach’s guidance, you can make sense of the findings in a positive and supportive way.
-
The report is visual and easy to follow, but the real value comes in your coaching debrief. An accredited coach will walk you through your results, helping you interpret what they mean and how you can apply the insights to your life, career, or personal goals.
-
The assessment takes around 15–20 minutes. You’ll need to be in a quiet space with a computer, tablet, or phone and no distractions
-
Yes. Your results are private and only shared with your accredited coach. They are there to support you, not to judge or label you. Nothing is passed to anyone else without your permission.
-
No, quite the opposite. Openmind™ isn’t about categories or stereotypes. Your personality blueprint is completely unique to you. Instead, it shows both your conscious and subconscious responses, helping you see the whole you. It’s a tool for exploration, not a box to fit into.
-
By uncovering both what you know and what you don’t realise about yourself, Openmind™ helps you:
Make better decisions
Build confidence and resilience
Improve your relationships and communication
Overcome stuck patterns or limiting beliefs
Create clearer, more authentic goals
-
The report gives you the data, but your coach helps turn that data into transformation. They’ll help you understand what the results mean for your unique situation and guide you in taking practical, positive steps forward
-
That’s understandable. Many people feel the same before trying it. But most find the insights surprisingly accurate and eye-opening. Take a look at some of our testimonials and contact us for a free chat about it first. If nothing else, you’ll walk away with a fresh perspective and new awareness that you can’t unsee, which is often the first step toward real transformational change.
Questions about the science that powers Openmind™
-
Traditional tools measure only conscious, explicit responses, about 5% of our thinking.
Openmind™ uniquely combines both explicit (what clients say they think) and implicit (what clients truly feel at a deeper level) data, capturing the other 95% that drives beliefs, behaviours, and decision-making.
-
Implicit Response Time (IRT) analysis measures how quickly someone responds to statements. Faster responses reflect deeply held beliefs or emotional truths, while slower responses reveal uncertainty or surface-level agreement. This bypasses conscious filtering, uncovering insights that traditional surveys cannot reach.
-
No. While Openmind™ does measure the Big Five personality traits (OCEAN), it goes further by showing both the explicit self-perception and the implicit, nonconscious truth. It’s not about replacing existing tools, but deepening and complementing them.
-
Openmind™’s methodology is grounded in peer-reviewed research in neuroscience and psychology. Implicit Response Time (IRT) testing has been validated for decades in academic and commercial contexts. The system ensures consistency, accuracy, and reliability of results.
-
Not necessarily. Openmind™ is designed to complement your existing toolkit, not replace it. You can use it to enrich your coaching conversations, accelerate breakthroughs, and add a new dimension of insight that traditional methods can’t deliver.
-
You can use Openmind™ at the start of a coaching relationship for faster rapport, during sessions to explore blind spots, or as a progress tracker. It’s particularly powerful when combined with reflective questioning and behavioural coaching.
-
Clients are increasingly curious about self-awareness and neuroscience-backed tools. Openmind™ gives them a unique, engaging, visual report that feels fresh and insightful. Many clients are fascinated by discovering “what I think” versus “what I really feel.”

“The insights were very revealing. It highlighted not just my strengths, but also the gaps between how I think I behave and how l actually respond at an instinctive level. That alone was powerful as it explained patterns I'd noticed in my behaviour for years but couldn't quite articulate.”
